I listened to the album for the first time alien today and like nikkas said if you don't like it you hating if you don't respect it and it's ambition and musicality. It's crazy how I predicted Kendrick would go further away from mainstream like a year ago. It's an album that MAKES you want to listen multiple times to see what you couldn't catch on take one, and not many albums today have that gravity. Not because you'll feel odd not knowing the songs but because you as a fan of the art want to hear the second verse of track __ and go :banderas:

Turn up music won't necessarily go anywhere and doesn't need to but I hope the unconventional success that TPAB and FHD have found can add some balance to what gets pushed.

That live version of "i" is nice but he should have put the single version on there + the extra acapella verse.

I get what he was trying to do .but it's becoming an instant skip for me now.

Am I weird for For Sale? growing on me. I love the buildup of music and concept of it within the album. So unusual, but if they fleshed it out more it could actually make a dope single.

These Walls, Alright & You Ain't Gotta Lie got the most single potential imo

Brolic... Alcoholics
I keep hearing this nikka say "I remember I was conflicted" after umpteen tracks. shyt throws me off lol. I can't remember what song I left off on cause a few of them segue that same way.

the easiest way for me to understand it is that he's introducing himself to Pac. I thought it was creative but didn't particularly care for it.... mainly becuz I never cared for Pac.
