I listened to the album for the first time alien today and like nikkas said if you don't like it you hating if you don't respect it and it's ambition and musicality. It's crazy how I predicted Kendrick would go further away from mainstream like a year ago. It's an album that MAKES you want to listen multiple times to see what you couldn't catch on take one, and not many albums today have that gravity. Not because you'll feel odd not knowing the songs but because you as a fan of the art want to hear the second verse of track __ and go
Turn up music won't necessarily go anywhere and doesn't need to but I hope the unconventional success that TPAB and FHD have found can add some balance to what gets pushed.
