Like he said, when you operating based on faith that the homies are gonna look out for you, it can lead to you being ass out when they don't come through I guess. Not just with album placements. Say you just need session musicians, or musicians to come on the road. You gotta call Terrace right? And pay him what he wants. Post-TPAB you can def see how Thundercat has come up big, as has Kamasi Washington. They've been getting festival placements since the album dropped nonstop. I don't think I've seen Martin get one, which sucks.

Hope it's not about Kdot since I know he's a genuinely good dude.

I doubt its about Kendrick as he retweeted something Punch recently posted.


And Terrace specifically was talking about RAP “friends” so I don’t see how headlining festival performances factors into that. His management should be making sure that all of the hype from TPAB gets him those festival and performance slots. That plus he’s got the group with Robert Glasper and they’ll be playing at the upcoming Blue Note Jazz Festival.


I don’t think is about dissatisfaction with hos career in general its specifically RAP nikkas not paying him for his work and expertise. All that shyt should have ceased the moment TPAB became what it became.


Imagine Quincy Jones not getting paid or getting jimped on credits by Pop artists after Thriller dropped. Would NEVER happen. Should be the same for Terrace. fukk these dusty rap nikkas and that “do it for the fam” bullshyt

Only 350? Wayne did a million on Carter 3 and that was when you had to get off your ass and go to Best Buy and get it. 50 did 1,150,000. Kanye did 957,000 copies first week. All cd era. Wouldn’t it be easier to steam and numbers higher?
