Artists websites.

Kendrick had physicals available the week after i’m guessing due to leak concerns but you can buy physicals for most artists the week of up to a few months after release through their webstores.

I brought the last four Nas albums on CD through his Mass Appeal store

Pusha T’s Its Almost Dry is now on physical through his store

Hell Tyler The Creator hit number 1 a few months ago from a year old album STRICTLY from Vinyl sales. Childish Gambino hit number from a 6 year old EP strictly off Vinyl sales
Not going to lie..i had no clue

GKMC is one of the 10 highest selling vinyls in the world this year. It’s insane. People want to buy things. It’s up to labels and artists to provide it. I think it was a mistake to not have physicals available on day one, but the label is playing the long game so sacrificing that first week number for consistent sales over the next x weeks/months was probably a fair trade to them. Between Rolling Loud and the tour, Kdot is gonna be everywhere.

One reason is I just think it flows the best as a closing track musically. At the end he decides to set free all the trauma suffered by him and his family to start his rebirth.

We hear what I presume is supposed to be Whitney telling him she’s proud & his baby daughter thanking her immediate family, bringing the album cover full circle.

I feel like everything he spit on Mirror was already covered throughout the album. Unless nikkas just liked the response to that one chick that chastised rappers for not speaking out. He pretty much covered that already on Savior which was a superb song

Mirror isn’t that great of track either. Just doesn’t end the album out with a high note.

Yeah, the song is just ight. Definitely the weakest Kendrick closing album track

Which in itself is no shame cuz all of Kendrick’s final tracks are BANGERS (Soulo outro, Compton, Mortal Man, Duckworth, untitled 7)

That’s one of my issues. While I like the album overall there’s no question these are his weakest tracks (in my opinion), making it his weakest album. It’s his weakest intro (although I really like the song), weakest outro, the bangers don’t really hold a candle to the ones on DAMN or GKMC, and while the deeper tracks are great I’m not sure they stack up to much on previous albums either. Father Time being the exception and one of his best tracks.

I think Mother I Sober is great but as a track it’s not Mortal Man or Sing About Me.

after sitting w/ this some days there r a handfull of songs that i really like mostly from the first disc. not a big fan of the album as a whole. id put this at the bottom of his catalog for sure.

As someone who has hated Kendrick this wasn’t a bad album to me. His voice isn’t annoying anymore, he doesn’t have those weird sound effects on it anymore. I don’t replay this at all but I’ve listened to it twice in entirety and I’ll revisit silent hill and we cry together. Not relatable topics to me for the most part but it’s refreshing to hear this out of hip hop. Doesn’t sound too dated for someone who took half a decade off as hip hop moves fast.

When I was ten
Back when nine ounces had got you ten
And nine times out of ten, nikkas don't pay attention
And when there's tension in the air, nines come with extensions
My daddy dumped a quarter piece to a four and a half
Took a L, started selling soap fiends bubble bath
Broke his nails misusing his pinky to treat his nose
Shirt buttoned open, taco meat laying on his gold
I said, "Daddy, one day I'ma get you right with 36 zips"
"One thousand grams of cocaine then your name will be rich"
"Now you can rock it up or sell it soft as leather interior"
"Drop some ice cubes in it, Deebo on perimeter"
