Comparing Kendrick Lamar to that weak ass hamilton shyt is clownery.

I really gotta ask, out of the entire landscape of known Hip-Hop artists how many were even dropping
relevant work comparable to Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole? Like let's be really realistic.

To take it further which of their peers even dropped some impressive shyt?
We'll hear about Big KRIT every once in a while on here but WHO ? Big Sean ? Wale? The closest from last decade
is Tyler the Creator and he regularly trails behind these two in many categories.

This is what I'm talking about :pachaha:
You can have hall of famer-tier stats and get dismissed for no real reason.

The rest of the guys who debuted in 2008/2009/2010, all fell the fukk off OR had mostly
middle of the road careers (which is still amazing but in this context (GOAT discussions), it is NOT).

For a hip hop forum
The amount of shytty opinions :bryan:
ain’t no way boy
It sounds like a bunch of frat white boys dissecting and discussing bars
A Pulitzer doesn’t mean anything:skip:
J.Cole mixtapes are classics:skip:
Drake is battle tested:skip:
Look all artist do their thang respectfully
But each one of these opinions can be picked apart
Drake didn’t last a battle because J Prince stopped it before Lightskin Keith Sweat was about to get his ass handed to him
Jermaine is a damn good artist but his body of work isn’t touching Kendricks
You know how hard it is to get a Pulitzer
Ain’t no way any of you nikkas accomplished half the shyt in these nikkas lives
Just enjoy the life injected into rap music
One minute the same clowns that diss these young nikkas incessantly in tlr
Are now saying these artist came out int the most boring era of hiphop:skip:

when Drake gets dissed it brings out the giddyness in certain men, its a sight to behold.

:what: The song is about to go #1 on the Billboard. The fact that you continue to push the "Kendrick is a backpack rapper for a niche crowd" shyt is hilarious. He moves the needle whether you personally like it or not.

you must've quoted the wrong person here because I did no such thing.

I would never suggest a guy that pathetically made songs with Taylor Swift and Imagine Dragons to be for a niche crowd. that boy a bigger sell out than most

"But would you rather be underpaid or overrated? Moral victories is for minor league coaches." - Jay-Z

The answer is simple, we get into the music BUSINESS to make MONEY.

Anything else is fugazi.
I'm picking overrated every single time.
:yeshrug:
At least he kept a lot of his artistic credibility.
A tough line to tow when you're tying to get rich too.

shyt like this ane control is why he gets compared to eminem. Empty lyrics. All flow. Shock rap.

That line is wack on multi levels for a top mc.
When talking about empty lyrics Kendrick isn't anywhere near the top of that list, he's closer to the opposite.

Drake's past 10 years have been full of songs with almost exclusively empty lyrics.

I'm makin' a change today, the liquor been takin' the pain away
I heard you was givin' your chain away, that's kinda like givin' your fame away
What's wrong with you? I sit in a box where the owners do
A boss is a role that I've grown into
:francis: Sick of him rapping like this tbh
