He took 6 years off, dropped arguably his weakest album, no longer has major label support, and now he wants to smoke Drake and Cole, two guys who have been putting in the work these last few years, without dropping any of his own music that stands on its own. People wanna forget how quickly The Hillbillies came and went.

Drake has dissed Kendrick far more than Kendrick has dissed him, but those disses are usually buried away in his albums instead of at the start of a rollout.

He signed a massive publishing deal with Universal in 2020.

I’m talking STRICTLY about Kendrick Vs Drake. Kendrick has kept the exact same energy with Drake since Control. He peaced it up with Meek and Jay Elect. Lupe seems to have a jealousy issue with Kendrick and i think its safe to say Kendrick wouldn’t want it with Lupe in a battle as Lupe IS the best writer to come along in Hip Hop since Nas. Kendrick is better than most everybody, but he ain’t better than Lupe, THAT battle would be a bloodbath.


Now if you want to call Kendrick to task for not responding to the MC’s who did put out rebuttals then I have no qualms or arguments. It does look funny in the light. But when it comes to Kendrick and Drake, Kendrick hasn’t moved to peace it up. He hasn’t moved to collaborate. He hasn’t said a nice or respectable THING about Drake publicly since Control whilst Drake has said several complimentary things about Kendrick. Say what you will about Kendrick not wanting smoke with the likes of Lupe or Jay Elect, two Mc’s who absolutely could give him problems, thats more than fair, but he definitely outright wants it with Drake

No straight up Diss because Drake at first whined about and then did little more than send subs, so Kendrick kept it at subs. Then Drake went onto to compliment Kendrick and call him a king so it was left to just barbs. Now Kendrick decided to respond to the barbs in FPS with the first DIRECT call out since the BET Cypher.

If Drake actually doesn’t respond then it’ll probably go back to barbs again and we’ll rinse, wash, and repeat
