Can I ask you lot why do you like this album so much? :why:

Making blasphemy comments like its better than Documentary?

I cant get into this album at all!

No hate. I just cant.

Im not telling anyone that their opinion is wack. Im just giving my own opinion.

I hope someone enlightens me on why they think this album is so great? :whew:

The beats are great. Mixture of samples, melodies, drums, drums loops, horns synths. Sonically it's beauty. Simply beauty

Kendrick's delivery. How he puts his rhymes together. Not super punch line heavy but the flows and the word play. Again simply beauty. It's real. It feels. It's not all super clever bullshyt humor lines. It's life. It's reality. It just happens to rhyme.

Subject matter. He rhymes about all aspects of life in Compton. I never been but I have a great idea what it's about. To the gangstas, to the victims, to the people stuck in between just living around it all. It's beauty.

The random song structure. When he rhymed as a person and then it was cut short by gun shots out of the blue. You felt that. That's how life is. You could be just doing what you do then its over. Again it's life. It just happens to rhyme

I can't even listen to Documentary anymore because of Game's lyrics and all of the name dropping. I love Doctor's Advocate from Game though, it's his best album imo.

Album leaves nas last album in the dust but nas' last album was still good. Its hard for new yorkers to concede but K dot blows nas out of the water in all categories right now. Nas has let his rhyme schemes plummet, his flow is diminished a bit and his lines arent as clever. You can tell nas doesnt practice as much as he used to when he was Kendricks age and this is why Kendrick, right now is a superior lyricist.

I disagree from a rhyming standpoint. Kendrick is very unique, artistic, and has mad deliveries and brings moods/emotions into his rhymes. But as a pure rhymer, there are many that are better than him, including Nas. Nas still spit great lyrics, it's just all the other aspects that he falls behind Kendrick. Nas aint never been the greatest song maker in the world. While Kendrick spending countless hours making sure each song is perfect to his own satisfaction.
