Can I get a reup brehs?
This album is only second to Nasir. Everything else that came out is a waste of beats and hearing. Seriously. Kendrick albums are well thought out and put together. I missed this kinda of theme focused album. Not just a bunch of same sounding beats with wack features. If I do a album this is how I would do it. Beats bang and are beautiful. Swimming pools... Wtf!
Loving this shyt
I didn't let it die
Thats my gym locker btw . Copped it before the gym after work
Album leaves nas last album in the dust but nas' last album was still good. Its hard for new yorkers to concede but K dot blows nas out of the water in all categories right now. Nas has let his rhyme schemes plummet, his flow is diminished a bit and his lines arent as clever. You can tell nas doesnt practice as much as he used to when he was Kendricks age and this is why Kendrick, right now is a superior lyricist.
I should neg rep you for using this thread as an excuse to flex them 3's
So its safe to say that if this album receives 5 mics and XXL (regardless of the legitimacy and validity of these two publications), its a certified *future* classic?
It's not a New York thing. I think elzhi blu Freddie Gibbs and Kendrick are better rappers. But I take into account Nas is near 40. And still dropping top charting projects. At near 40. Kendrick is more hungry and sharper mind, he is younger. More expansive sound and creative. I will admit I never been to Compton and I relate more to Nas being a New Yorker but its not solely a New York thing. I'm a nas Stan. Admittedly. But I'm a fan of Kendrick and I hope when he is 40 he can still drop creative music. For now, he got a classic on his hands. No hating at all.
If Nas had the technical prowess of Kendrick right now. Life is good would have been incredible. I think its all practice, like anything. This kid is sleepin in studios doing songs and writing all the time. Hopefully he doesnt fall off like all the other great artists after he becomes a millionare.
