I really feel like this whole thing is blown out of proportion. Jay-Z ain’t doing this to spite Wayne, Birdman, or even Drake. This is a BUSINESS decision and tapping Kendrick to perform is EXCELLENT BUSINESS. The announcement video already has 30 Million views on YouTube. CNN was talking about it in primetime last night. Not Like Us isn’t going anywhere anytime soon when it comes to chart placement. And if Kendrick drops an album at ANY point between now and February that shyt is doing 600k plus guaranteed. Kendrick, Drake, Future and Travis are the hottest hip hop artists on the planet fight now and of the four only one of them has previous critically acclaimed nationally televised performances and thats Kendrick.

This is all business. Jay-Z ain’t thinking about Birdman, Wayne, or Nicki. Hell nobody was thinking about Wayne at all this year unless it was tied to a Kendrick song being played multiple times at his concerts. Wayne’s commercial peak was 13 years ago, Kendrick’s is NOW.
