I rewatched it yesterday (previously had only watched it once when it was live). Definitely a creative show, and I thought it was good. My main gripe is, I wish he rewrote some of the lyrics instead of censoring himself. I remember back in the days when rappers would have their radio versions of songs with different lyrics. I don’t know why they don’t do it as much anymore.
I believe I may have a theory as to why he chose the self-censoring route.

Rewriting the lyrics would've been preferable of course, on that I 100% agree with you. But one of Dot's biggest concern with this performance was breath control. He could not fumble this one (due to the weight of the pressure on him for this particular performance), and he was moving way too damn much. Rappers aren't supposed to move as much as he d.id because their bars will wind them out.

He couldn't spit whole verses moving like that, so the self-censoring was the perfect way for him to create "oxygen-pockets" to keep up with his work without stumbling.

Even so, he still had to leave some of his vocals to a "back track" (like the mustard shout, and others).

Still he managed to spit the best lines like "Say Drake..." and "Walk in NO with the tendency of LA screaming..." (you can tell he was pushing it with that one).
