He right though,

Usually huge acclaim or/and influence or/and impact is enough for an album to be considered a classic by many people

but if nobody knows you dropped an amazing album, nobody is gonna call this shyt a classic :ohhh:

underground classics dont exist?
its doesn't have to be in the pop spectrum for it to be a classic

I'm excited about this album because I'm a casual Kendrick fan. I enjoy his music, have enjoyed his last 3 projects a lot, but I don't sit around and watch the clock for it. So I really have no expectations for this to be dope or wack. If it's dope then I just luck out and get an album I wasn't expecting to get this Friday. Plus it's always fun to see big album discussions on this forum, and it seems like that doesn't happen very often. Kendrick is probably one of the only hip-hop artists anymore where it seems like an event when the album drops, so for that alone it should be a fun weekend.
Same

Also, kendrick gets the unviersal acclaim for every album, and he changes his sound with every fukking album...he loves making music for different audiences, thats really what makes this shyt so exciting. Like I know the shyt may not be for me next time, but I have no doubt he gonna deliver in that particular lane :wow:

but that album is a masterpiece IMO

maybe I need to start putting IMO to avoid pointless debates lol

I've been doing that for a while and I find it very useful.

On the other hand, I guess everything I say here is IMO so it also seems a little bit silly.

I still say it a lot though and it avoids some shyt

I'm starting to hate rap music tbh, once you love rap, it puts you on the musical genres that actually influenced hip hop (jazz, funk, soul, classic rnb...) and then you just see rap as a very basic musical genre lol

I'd love this album to blend other genres like he did with the previous projects :yeshrug:
