That's what I seem to see. Hardcore kendrick fans feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the consensus something like TPAB is an amazing album, but one that isn't as "easy listening" as S.80 or GKMC?

You are correct...my mother from Los Angeles California ...so I have a deep love and appreciation for California music And various sounds and trends that came from that region, im from Chicago FYI but a lot of my friends didn't like the sounds of the album ....I loved it

Tbh I was listening to tpab earlier today and its crazy how this shyt gets better with every listen..this is as close to a perfect album as you can get.

I'm happy kednrick is getting all that classic praise, he deserves it

Tpab on audio technicas is fukking beautiful i tell ya.

so many GOAT moments

Arguably alongside mbdtf the most creative rap album of all time. Kendrick is a genius.

Joe budden is a hater, but props to him for what he said about tpab on his podcast

He basically said he didn't like the album, said it wasnt' the kind of music he was listening to but still admitted the music was amazing and that it was one of the best albums ever.

He also said that with tpab and gkmc, kendrick was on his way to build the best catalog in music since Kanye Joe Budden Thinks Kendrick Lamar Is The Only One Capable Of Surpassing Kanye West’s Greatness

I gotta feeling that damn will be tpab levels of music. What a fukking time. I trully am greatful to br able to witness Kendrick Lamar. I really am. It brings tears to my eyes. I may cry when the album drops cux i know its gonna be some otherworldy shyt.

Yeah I would love another album like tpab. albums like gkmc are great, but they're just rap albums, they're just for hip hop fans...whereas albums like tpab can really blow your mind with its musical composition
The thing is, kendrick would need to work with the exact same musicians if he wants to make an album as great as tpab. You just can't work with rap producers for this as they don't know anything about bebop scales, altered scales, syncopation and other more complex musical ideas.

I'm afraid this new album won't have the same acclaim as tpab...tpab really was for music fans, this new album is gonna be for rap fans, which means the music is not gonna be on the same level
