Breh, You're not a writer.
If you were, (which you're not) you'd understand and agree with what I'm saying. The level of writing is the one thing that seperates Kendrick and Drake. Even before the ghostwriting.
Like I said before, Drake whether it's because he's a former actor or because it's real, can tap into that conviction in a quick second. Listening to more life you can tell. Songs like Lose You, or Do Not Disturb. It sounds like he's talking about something, until you look at the lyrics. And it's still the same shyt. Nothing real. All superficial. All frivolous and all on the surface.
And that's what keeps him from taking that next level. He don't got shyt to write about. He's created a character that he has to stick to sell, and I respect that, but that character has limits.
The only reason I think he's going to drop a classic is because he's talented enough to do it. But the Kendrick v Drake ship sailed a long time ago. It's not close and it'll never be again.
You're getting mad at Drake for creating a PERSONA but big upping Kendrick....a rapper who literally creates and disposes of hollow characters to convey undercooked messages?
