haven't heard any impressive rap lyrics since 2002
Highly relevant. If u like trash how can anyone impress you with good bars?Irrelevant. I can get into that later in this thread when the subject has been exhausted. Right now I wanna hear these amazing Kendrick lines.
kA sounds like he's rapping from the psych ward.Ka sounds like he's on anti-depressants.
kA sounds like he's rapping from the psych ward.
Like he's rapping in a jail cell at lights out
Like a kid rapping in his room and doesn't want to wake up his parents
He's cool but his beats are Trash.
Ka makes some great verses but his songs don't really be about ahit. Just freestyle sounding street raps
They're both street battle rappers to me. Roc will come up with a sing about something occasionally but with them beats, that rhyme structure, that flow and those bars who caresb about making anew actual songRoc Marciano> ka
Nobody cares about either verse you posted. The shyt i brought up can still be recited by even a casual hiphop fan nearly 20 yrs later. Now instead of finding flows you LIKE. Find me one flow that kendrick had the whole world repeating,JUST ONENotorious thugs wasn't a landmark flow. That was a wack version of bones flow.
Mase typically uses a 10 syllable per bar format which is very simple and easy to follow
Kendrick uses a lot of words high syllable counts and metaphors that require thinking so his bars aren't usually sung along like that in comparison to simple minded lyricists like mase and notorious big.
Kendrick has a unique ability kinda like Ludacris did of being able to bring a unique approach flow wise to fit different moods or concepts. Kendrick stands out in this way because no matter what the beat sounds like he can ride and flow on beat which can breath life into a lackluster sounding track
Here are 2 great examples. the beat for buried alive us something a lot of rappers would Struggle to make flow but Kendrick did it. Drake could have never rapped over that.
catch a fade is also an unorthodox production that Kendrick shined on in comparison to the other people on the song.
Landmark flows are easiest to follow and sing along with when rappers use the most simplistic words possible.
