They were frustrated that he was cleared medically then essentially QUIT on his team and went missing. What makes it worst is that the Lakers were questioning if he was still hurt and the NEXT day his team reports he's 100% healthy lol. Kawhi quit bruh. I don't see why a team would want their start player to stay hurt and not play. Especially the Spurs of all teams.

Nah a distraction. The damage has already been done . It wouldn't be intentional on by Kawhi. I think some of his teammates will feel betrayed everything (didn't play hurt, feel like he faked injury,demanded trade,didn't support us in the playoffs) and tension would start to boil during the season.

I think it would be best to find the best deal (Not LA) making another playoff run.

Just trade him to the Lakers. He clearly wants to go there and they have assets worth taking.
This is a superstar league and they control the landscape of the league. He’s an actually superstar, (unlike Paul George) lead the team to a title and earned the right to demand a trade to a certain city.
Nobody on this forum said anything when KG or Jason Kidd demanded a trade and only had a limited number of teams on their list
