The Spurs would be stupid NOT to drag this out. Let the dominos fall and then react but they are KILLING me cause i KNOW they arent gonna try and move and shake the current roster to try and free up the dead weight we have and THAT is what i bet is also irritating Kawhi. shyt is irritating to me to have all them coins tied to Gasol, Green, Mills, and Parker.
I bet when they let Simmons walk and gave Gasol that ridiculous contract, the clock started ticking in Kawhi's head. They are devoid of athleticism besides Kawhi and Murray. :scusthov:

Their talent level is not on par with New Orleans, Utah and Denver let alone GS or Houston. That cap situation is fukked too because of Gasol, Mills and Aldridge (though he was terrific this season).

They actually said hello this time before hanging up :russ:

I think the surprising thing about this situation is how few rumors we are seeing from other destinations like Boston or Philadelphia.

You would think Boston could offer the best deal of any team in the league. But they’re also in the best position to simply stand pat because they’re already so good.

I think Lebron is the driving force here though.
If the Spurs can’t get a solid offer from an east coast team, my guess is they would rather hang on to Kawhi. That would force Lebron to make a tough decision to go to LA and play for a year where they would almost certainly not be a championship threat. And if he doesn’t choose LA without Kawhi and goes to Houston or another team...then it almost doesn’t matter that Kawhi signs with the Lakers next summer because that team won’t upend the Warriors or Rockets anyway.
