don’t quote me you were lwo 3 years ago then you bandwagon hopped to the spurs :dead:

And did kobe leave ? :russ:
I think the Lakers are a fine organization. I thought it then. I think it now. Have you seen me slander them as a franchise here, ever? Please share any and all receipts.

But you’re running from the point.

What I am addressing is that you wouldn’t like begging a player to stay.

Well, your hero wanted to leave. Surely someone begged him to stay.

I’m just remaining on topic.
You can juelz if you want to.

Lakers
Can you provide any evidence of this?
I’m certain I have never said this about the Lakers being unable to draw talent.

That said, they haven’t had a big time free agent signing since...Shaq?
All great players they’ve had in the last 25 years were traded there. That’s a testament to their elite management in that time. But do you really want to argue that the narrative had no truth to it just because NOW a top player (Kawhi) wants to go there?

See this is what I mean. Eventually the boy who cries wolf is gonna be right...after being wrong so, so many times.
On the first point I stand corrected the only Spurs fan I found doing that on this board was @duckbutta.

Now on the second point how is it crying wolf when last season Paul George was willing to come here. And this season it’s been reported that Lebron’s narrowed his choices down to two teams, La and Cleveland.

Kawhi, Lebron, and George that’s 3 top level players right there. Not many teams in the league are able to get even one player on this level interested in them, let alone 3. Not too mention the Lakers have been bad and dysfunctional for a couple of years now.

Anyways I’m not even sure about Kawhi coming here. He’s a great player but if he’s so easily influenced and possibly quit on his team. I can’t respect it. The Spurs have probably set the gold standard for an organization since drafting Duncan no matter how much I dislike them. And the reasons being given for Kawhi being upset have been suspect.

Fair enough.
I wouldn’t say the Lakers as a team have been dysfunctional. Management sure seems like it was. But I get your point.

Im just waiting for this shyt to play itself out. Us Spurs havent had to deal with legit franchise player fukkery since TD almost left in 2000 so it's time we get our share of it so we can TRULY see how crafty and legit the FO is. It was easy for 2 decades to play it cool and build a "culture" since TD (along with Manu) wasn't going to let shyt gey out of hand, but now that the big dog is long gone, we get to see what this front office and coaching staff is TRULY made of :lupe:
