Breh, Kawhi won both Finals MVP AND DPOY before he was named an All-Star. He won Finals MVP for locking down LeBron in that series.

This season, he's averaging 21pts/7rebs/3asts/2stls/1blk per game while shooting 51% from the floor and 46% from downtown. As the best player on the Spurs, he's led then to 2nd in the West and has the Spurs on pace to break records.

The fukk are you on saying he's not a top-tier player? :childplease:
so he is soley responsible for that teams success ?

I thought Kevin Durant was maybe even a better basketball player than LeBron James.
kevin Durant lacks lebrons basketball iq. He shoots when he isnt suppose to. Passes at the wrong time, late on the switch alot. He is who he is at this point. Small market is the only reason the media doesnt fry him like they do melo and chris paul.

Don't shift goalposts. Stop being purposefully obtuse.

No individual can win championships by himself. Jordan couldn't. Bill Russell couldn't. Kobe couldn't. And last year's Finals proved that Bron definitely couldn't.

What I'm saying is that Kawhi is mainly responsible for the Spurs' success this season and that the Spurs wouldn't be the threat/favorites for the championship that they are if Kawhi was removed from the equation.

Cosign. Replace Kawhi with say......Gorden Haywood or Harrison Barnes and I guarantee you'll see the difference in this team. Still a good team, but not a team that's contending for a title on serious note. It would be like replacing Curry with Jeff Teague.

Were u on crack during that series??

when specifically guarded by Kawhi throughout the 2014 Finals would look as follows:

Game 1: 11pts/6rbs/3asts/3stls/4tov

Game 2: 15pts/10rbs/3asts/2stls/4tov

Game 3: 4pts/5rbs/7asts/5stls/7tov

Game 4: 14pts/8rbs/2asts/0stls/3tov (if you count the one possession I referred to earlier in the game summary, Lebron would have 17pts on Kawhi in this game)

Game 5: 2pts/10rbs/5asts/0stls/1tov/2blks For the series then, Lebron’s averages against Kawhi throughout the five game series look like this:

9.6pts/7.8rbs/4asts/2stls/3.8tov/0.4blks
