He was a swing vote on social issues. For example he is the consistent vote against overturning roe vs.wade. He will be replaced by a Thomas style conservative who will vote to overturn that when given the chance.
He also voted for the gay marriage and in favor of affirmative action in recent cases such as the UT case. Despite being a conservative vote, we have a crazed right wing nut in government and a more polarized government than ever before. shyt will be worse .
