I don't get why Schumer is saying this. Maybe he thinks red state Dems even with a 51 vote majority wouldn't be able to vote AGAINST Trump judges next year if Dems have 51 votes????
Like if Donnelly, Manchin, Heitkamp, Tester, and McCaskill all win re-election for another 6 year term, why would they need to vote for another Trump SCOTUS pick or his crazies he's putting on the federal bench?
Sherrod Brown is in Ohio and aside from trade hasn't voted with Trump and he's gonna win re-election.

Reid didn't get rid of the 60 vote requirement for supreme Court picks. He did for lower courts and executive appointments which numbers in the hundreds to thousands and was deadlocked by Republicans constantly blocking nominations at every turn. It one thing to obstruct one supreme Court Justice.
