Will def lead to a loss in quality but I am still intrigued by where this could go. It depends on how much you are an audiophile because back in the day you wouldn't be seen dead sampling off low quality files/not a record, these days people sample off youtube, shyt is clipping and gets released, its way more DIY era... i guess just depends... workflow wise i do like this concept and this is fun, yes it wont be perfect but i see the creative possibilities and some people are going to use this in crazy ways - from producers and djs, to even dancers and singers...
I am intrigued to see how good the 'split into steams' software is....

Breh if you into music production it’s no need to wait lol. It’s a reason they have the term “play any stem” in quotation marks. It’s not even on no hating shyt as it’s dope he making some hardware. But it is what it is. It’s a novelty item, not some game changing hardware of software. I don’t need to wait and see since I am familiar with music production equipment. The only thing I would need to wait and see for is if it has Kanye’s stems, which it most likely will have, as other wise it would be pretty pointless. It’s not that serious but to show you how confident I am, I would lifetime ban bet my account on what I’m saying. If you not so sure that’s fine. But I am.

This guy knows! It is prob tech that existed but prob wasnt packaged all together or really focused on because a stem player is a very specific vision that Kanye had/fell in love with when working with these other partners...
It has huge potential for producers and DJs.. even just uploading any song, taking the vocals, mixing the drums with another stem... uploading your own bass and integrating in a workflow just using your fingers, it is highly created!.... I am tempted to get it
This combined with a DAW might be nuuuuts!

it probably will bruh. a free dj’n software has that capability already that use to get acapellas for remixes.
its not hard to isolate stems anymore. might not be the best quality but it can be done. especially for drums and acapellas
