kanye is delusional
secondly, venture capitalist are vultures
he has no enough money where he doesn't need anyone
the fact he lost 13 million dollars shows he just doesn't know what he's doing, and he basically wants somebody who does to do everything for him
but nobody is going to do that

secondly is a lot c00n shyt going on in this thread, can't no white man stop you from doing nothing, if you believe that shyt you already lost
lastly can has enough money to become a billionaire this year if you invested in shyt worth something instead of some bullshyt fashion
that these billionaires more than likely lose money on for the most part, which is something he can't afford to do

Yes, indeed. He's out of touch. Even Marc Ecko was  trying to figure what's all the talk about. Marc Ecko started in a garage. Bape started out in a boutique store and the people responded.

All the talk about not being a slave and shaking up the status quo is not something a Billion Dollar company can honestly entertain. He's too erratic. Kanye, we need results.

This is probably why companies didn't entertain working with Mike Tyson in the 90s.

though i have started to pretty much despise kanye, he is not wrong to want investment, and more importantly he is not wrong to want some influential people to start opening some doors to better prices and opportunities that he cant actually get himself. cartels are real, and most successful brands just get hot and then end up played out in a few years while a few old elephants rule for decades. kanye would be an idiot to put any more of his money into fashion without some kind of cosign from one of the big time, but the way he is going about DONDA is all wrong and he is too emotional to do any better than this.

Why would Eric Schmidt invest in a fashion brand anyway?

Silicon Valley VCs aren't into stuff like music and fashion etc... there's not enough ability to scale it up

Then again, Jeff Bezos just invested in a newspaper, so :yeshrug:

I wonder if someone gives him an offer, what percentage of the company they're going to ask for.

From what i've read, business cout d'etat are fairly common. All of these billionaire have had to fight that off.

I don't think Kanye realizes that he's set the stage to get the rug pulled from under him. I can easily see him getting run out of his own company. He's already shown time and time again that he's not mentally stable enough to be the "head." Once Donda gets enough market share where its running off of its own steam and not Ye's, its o-vay.

This assumes he'll get into position to have market share of anything, which I doubt. Also I doubt Kanye will be fine with "sharing" his company with whoever backs him - IF he ever gets backing which I doubt too.

Why would a VC back someone who is as scatter brained as Kanye? He can't stay focused, he's doing 100 things at the same time, etc. I can't imagine him effectively running a business.

Can't feel bad for this dude.

Hundreds of people have started companies and turned them into billion dollar corporations and all those people had way less resources than Kanye.

Fukk him.
Hundreds...in a Country of millions.
Think about that, then maybe you'd be able
to understand his frustration.

On topic :
Personally, I get those "Joaquin Phoenix" vibes
from the whole Kanye trying to get funding situation.
He's basically being ridiculed and made fun of for what people
perceive to be erratic behavior.
Really reminds me of the film he (Joaquin) did.
People would rather watch the car crash than get a person help.

I hope the guy can work out his funding issues.
Sinking 13 milli into a venture is crazy, that's more money
than most people will see in several life times.
So I can understand his frustration :yeshrug:
That doesn't excuse his outbursts, ridiculous statements
and general oddness this past year though.

Also can we stop using "Hip Hop" as fukking euphemism for black
people ?
Just reading that shyt is absurd.

kanye is learning the hard way that he comes from a community with no networks, power or resources.

i figure kanye feels like he's just a glorified consumer at this point. money alone doesn't cut it for someone interested in building legacies. i wish i could sympathize but he's only mad because he cant join the white power structure. dude could care less about black folks long as he can sell you bullshyt next to these cacs and jews.
lets be real.

does kanye even have a legit business idea here outside of a bunch of nebulous ideas and poorly reasoned thoughts?

i dont have a problem with steve stoute and chris lighty but what they are is just more efficient and eloquent version of rappers, their job is to sell/exploit urban culture, and the thing is the only way to sell it is by emphasizing the negative side

if black people started building factory and universities, the steve stoutes and chris lighties and kanye west would have nothing to offer, what they offer is 'coolness' and entertainment, as soon as they try to go beyond that they will be cockblocked hard

so nah steve stoute and chris lighty might be better talkers than kanye west but dont represent anything special

rap music and rap culture are dead ends for black people, kanye west and jay-z are beginning to realize this but they dont have the knowledge to create an infrastructure to compete with the white world (which to be fair is understandable), but like a lot of black people they are afraid to let go of what made them cool

lighty, stoute, jay z, kanye are creating a hip hop exploitation philosophy that has no room for a hiphop factory or a hip hop university, but the university and the factory is where real power is

What better way to woo venture capitalists, many of whom are libertarian "I got mine" @ssholes, than to go on rants about how people aren't giving you a handout :troll:

Kanye is about 3 months away from saying or doing something he can't walk away from. The stage is set brehs, now we wait.

Venture capitalists are pretty good at what they do, but you gotta win them over with your presentation. They'll looking at the head of the snake, trying to see if they should back it. If the head/CEO/founder/etc doesn't have all his marbles in straight, or can't have a coherent conversation on ONE topic, or can't demonstrate why his idea has adequate supply demand potential...it's a wrap. Game over.

:whoo:

Dude is about to go past the point of no return.

Dude already said some slick shyt about jews...:mjpls:

cause kanye doesn't even realize how unimportant fashion is to most of the actual world.

Thats whats hilarious.

most fashion houses are run by holding companies and what not like LVMH. You think brands are just out here floating on their own? :heh:
