YepI agree, it's mostly just interesting to watch a train wreck in slow motion, kanye should focus on creating and nurturing the next "black ralph lauren" instead of he himself being the one, he can be the Medici of the black/hip hop community if he wanted to, that is the best role he can play IMO
very interesting. and yeah, i saw that "black in tech america" show. im sure there have to be a few success stories, though. and i think the VC arms of some of your larger, F500 players would be less discriminatory...Most indian cats have to partner with white boys to get their foot in the door. I've been to events and no one took me serious until I started making the rounds with an Asian friend I made there. It was ridiculous. There was a show called "Black in Tech America" on CNN that followed black entrepreneurs in Silicon and eventually most of them had to relocate due to blatant racism. I'm talking sundown town cops called on them for being in the neighborhood they lived racism.
The positive is that there are some less racist whites in the South ironically. Because they aren't apart of that network, they are willing to take a chance on a black entrepreneur's idea. The only problem is they have significantly less money than Paul Graham, Google Ventures, etc. I've taken some meetings though, I could probably raise around $1-1.5 if I needed too down South but it would be TOUGH.

where is kanye being contrite and self depricating? all i see is him calling himself a genius and telling other people they dont know what they are talking about, or if they wont help him then they are irrelevant and fell off. please tell me where he is doing the opposite right now? He's not that way now?

oh, i just meant that he would be going from interview to interview like mike tyson has, basically talking about how out of control he has been, not that he is all over the place as in being inconsistent or contradictoryI was talking more about him being all over the place with what's he's saying.
