YG has reiterated
his distate for
Donald Trump‘s seemingly lackadaisical response to police brutality and disrespect towards minorities.
On Sunday (Aug 4), during a conversation with popular streamer Adin Ross, YG detailed his reasoning for being opposed to Trump, the Republican Party’s nominee in the 2024 Presidential Election this November.
YG, who, along with
late rapper Nipsey Hussle, famously released the anti-Trump song “FDT (F**k Donald Trump)” in 2016, branded the politician as a “racist” and seemingly accused him of being in support of excessive violence at the hands of law enforcement.
“I’m Black,” the 34-year-old declared. “I got a lot of homies and friends that done been in police brutality situations where they ain’t really do nothing wrong. Police trippin’ out and ni***as end up dead or f**ked up in jail.” YG added, “Trump, he thinks different and I don’t f**k with that.”
YG also expressed his disappointment involving the perceived lack of response to the
death of Sonya Massey, who was shot dead in her home by an Illinois Sheriff’s Deputy in July. The hitmaker called for the prosecution and conviction of the officer involved, who has been hit with several charges, including aggravated murder, in relation to the tragic shooting.
“She called the police to come protect and serve her and she end up getting shot in the face. What type of sh*t is that?” he questioned. “That muthaf**ka needs to go under the jail.”

YG then shot back against critics of Vice President and 2024 Democratic nominee
Kamala Harris‘ past track record as a district attorney, deeming her actions during her term as inconsequential to her current bid to become the nation’s next President of the United States.
“We talking about police brutality,” the
Still Brazy creator responded to Ross’ assertion to the contrary. “We not talking about laws back in the day when weed was illegal. We’re talking about police brutality on innocent Black muthaf**kas who was in the wrong, who didn’t have a gun.”
