I know this is petty and irrational as hell, but her laugh reminds me of Hillary Clinton. Fake as fukk.
Curious, what is your goal when sharing views that you acknowledge beforehand are irrational? How do you expect people to pay attention to policy and what is important if the focal point is continually about 'optics'.

She was the DA in SF and California AG during the city and states major push towards legalization.

I know you have your personal gripes and there are realistic gripes on her criminal justice record, but preventing the spread of recreational Marijuana isn't the one.
that's not a critical issue to me, but she's out there talking about it as a badge of pride and you're posting about her support going back to 2015...i think it's fair to point out she's late on this issue, not progressive and shouldn't be waving the banner around it simply because it's not cool and a badge of pride for cali. her lack of support indirectly contributed to criminalization of low level weed "crimes" that more frequently adversely affect minorities - it's all related and all worth bringing to the table.

She was against recreational weed

Props to digging in the crates. I think it is worth noting that is a politician, what she did was a non-answer, not a signal that she was against recreational weed. Barack Obama had similar 'non-answers' about policies that he believed in but didn't have enough political clout/support for at the time (Gay marriage I think?)

Here is Kamala in 11/2014 giving a direct answer (maybe a year after your clip?):

I am not opposed to the legalization of marijuana. I’m the top cop, and so I have to look at it from a law enforcement perspective and a public safety perspective,” Harris told BuzzFeed News in an interview in Washington, D.C. “I think we are fortunate to have Colorado and Washington be in front of us on this and figuring out the details of what it looks like when it’s legalized.
Kamala Harris Speaks Out On 'Inevitability' Of Marijuana Legalization

I think it is worth noting that it is pretty in line with what she said in her Breakfast Club interview this morning.

so was obama.

he just let states legalize :sas2:

Some of yall claim to understand politics but don't understand politics.

Obama let gay marriage slide without executive challenge (do you remember george bush?!?) and let weed get legalized on his watch ...peep game.

Kamala is pushing the needle.

LETS GOOOO :salute:!!!!

“Where do you stand on some form of reparations for black people? Here you see Mayor De Blasio saying the marijuana economy could be a form of reparations. Marianne Williamson says black people should get a hundred billion in slave reparations–like, where do you stand on it?” Charlamagne asked.

Harris responded:

Well look, I think that we have got to address that again, it’s back to the inequities. There, through–look, America has a history of 200 years of slavery. We had Jim Crow. We had legal segregation in America for a very long time. The Voting Rights Act was only strong for 50 years and then they wiped it out with this United States Supreme Court in the Shelby decision, to the point that 22 states immediately thereafter put in place laws that one court found were crafted with surgical precision to have black people not be able to vote.”

So we’ve got to recognize, back to that earlier point, people aren’t starting out on the same base, in terms of their ability to succeed and so we have got to recognize that and give people a lift up. And, there are a number of ways to do it. Part of my initiative again around the ‘Lift Act’ is that same point–you lifting people up who are making less than a hundred thousand dollars a year. What I want to do about rent is the same thing. What we need to do around education and understanding disparities, what we need to do around HBCUs. But we have a history of racism in America.

Charlamagne asked again, “So you are for some type of reparations?”

“Yes I am, yes I am,” Harris responded.
