To be fair, finally supporting MJ in 2014/2015 is incredibly late to be from CA. SF been having some form of medical marijuana since the early 90’s, then the bill we passed in 03 for expanded medical use. Since then the state has been trying to legalize but couldn’t overcome the roadblocks in red counties and the feds. All that to say, we have damn near 30 years of pushing to legalize marijuana, so a 2015 support of it is beyond late for a so called progressive
She was the DA in SF and California AG during the city and states major push towards legalization.
I know you have your personal gripes and there are realistic gripes on her criminal justice record, but preventing the spread of recreational Marijuana isn't the one.
Jamaica should follow her lead and get on that decriminalization wave.
