In sports these things take care of themselves. The leashes on AD's GMs, coaches, talent evaluators is so short that if they're making bad decisions on coaches/players based off of race they will lose their job. Some other team will end up with the Cam/Kaep/RG3/Wilsons of the world and they'll be stuck with the Cassels of the world.

This isn't true in other professions or in other areas of life, but I think this gets largely overblown in sports. No doubt there is racism there, but again overblown.

bruh the NFL has a diversity committee and force teams to interview at least 1 minority  they know a brotha wouldnt get a shot out there.

Because it's all based around racial superiority.

It's the same reason why I couldn't stand UFC. It was at the height of it's popularity when Chuck Lidden/Randy Couture were wrecking shop, and it was pretty obvious why. When Lidell got beat by Rampage (if I recall) all of a sudden the fans were booing the shyt like crazy and now that black guys seem to be in control of the belts there, it's not as popular.

White people were only into that shyt because it was white guys excelling. They wanted to feel that racial superiority.

Just like if you root for a QB, solely because he is black, that tells me you're really only interested in him due to the color of his skin and want to see him succeed to prove racial superiority.

Rooting for someone should never be based off of color.
:what:
Those were white ppl doing that.

Not black folks.

If Kaepernick doesnt win this weekend, it doesnt mean I'm not gonna watch the Superbowl or that I' will watch it with any less vigor(depending upon the teams of course)

I've never heard black people say I'm tired of these white guys dominating...so I'm not watching anymore. But I've seen white people say that like in the UFC example you listed. IMO, if you STOP watching a sport you claim to like b/c the racial demographics change, then you are probably a racist.

Again. I acknowledged that racism does exist in sports. My argument is it gets overblown when discussing sports.

This it's bigger than football argument, you comparing it to the regular business world and people trying to break through and become CEOs is what I'm talking about. There's no Rooney rule for CEO positions. The racism and bullshyt people gotta deal with everyday is way worse. Trying to make analogies and tie the two together is weak.

Realistically sports is about as pure as it's going to get. Compared to other areas it's one of the few places where your production carries more weight over who you know, what you look like, or where you came from. Sports one of the rare areas in this country where you see minorities regularly making money hand over fist. Are there still some barriers? Yes, nothing is perfect. Comparing the struggle black QBs or black coaching candidates go through...to what regular dudes go through? :stopitslime:

It just gets old always trying to see people use sports as a chance to hop up on their soapbox and talk about racial issues.

the problem is we're losing lots of power rushing credibility out of the pistol.

you can do designed qb runs from under the center too :manny:

whats so bad about running some plays from the pistol/q and some from the i/pro as opposed to abandoning the i or pro formation completely?

also, pistol formation is old as fukk. its just a cycle. shyt wont be as effective as when it takes the league by surprise, book it. nothing is.

because Kaep needs to work on being under center. Who cares if the pistol is old. So is the I formation. It's working and will continue to work, not just because of the formation, but because of the masterminds behind the offense. They know how to maximize the offensive potential. Plus Frank Gore asks out of the lineup like every other play so we might as well keep him fresh

kaep looks like he's part middle eastern or turkish or something

It makes you think or at least makes me think that there were alot of race mixing hundreds to thousands of years ago and the current middle eastern look is derived from ancient interracial mixing.
