I liked it. Sherlock Holmes was pretty good as the villain and Chris Pine is growing on me as Capt. Kirk.
Plus they gave Scotty a lot to do which was great.
JJ Abrams needs to chill out with all the fukking lens flares though. There was a scene on the bridge of the Enterprise where it was like a bunch of kids were in the background shining flashlights at the screen or something.

So how do you say it's a dope movie but the story is disposable? If the story is meh then all you have is the dialog filler moments and mini sub plots. So it seems just like the first Star Trek that the villain was secondary.

In this case, by disposable I meant "interchangeable" not necessarily bad. There was nothing special about the story, but it was fine.
