this movie really resonated with me as an honorary black manDope scene man. Even more powerful when you look at where John Lewis is today and what he's done with his life since that moment.

Flick was dope. It had a soulful fill to it. They way it opened had me glass eyed on the low. Gonna catch it again. A must see.
Resonated with me as a natural black man. We're simpatico breh, muy simpatico. The bloody sunday bridge was incredible. Just incredible
i wont lie though breh i laughed everytime i saw common on screen. i've never been able to take him seriously as an actor
the only flick i didn't mind him in was the basketball joint with queen latifahHis terminator salvation thing he did called acting is but he redeemed himself on Hell on Wheels
Little girls scene?
was my only issue with it as well.im rating it on a Birdman scale.
Also, I really didnt like how it ended. I know the story of Selma, but it felt like that march to Montgomery was rushed.
this is why it was so dope. It was honest.
I was sitting there joking with my girl and what not because the girls were idolizing hair. I'm like "the civil rights movement is going on and them young thots (that's how me and my lady joke ) worried about some hair" Than BOOM. My jaw dropped breh. Felt like a bytch too girl didn't even look at me, but I could see her trying to look out the corner of her eye

I loved the movie, only thing I wish they would've done was fleshed out the relationship between King and Malcolm X a little more. They went from Malcolm talking to Coretta, to MLK's anger at her talking to him, to King referencing his death. I felt they just kind of rushed over the fact that the two reconciled before Malcolm's death and there was a possibility that they could've joined forces (in SOME capacity)
