Just saw looper

Movie was ok. Too many holes in the story. Its hard to make a time travel flick. I applaud their effort but it was meh. Plus the acting was bad. Oh well.

I also liked how the trailer really didn't give away alot of the main plot...they just scratched the surface and made the viewer think that it was cliche action movie..where JGL and Bruce Willis team up to take out the bad guy...

Young Joe's friend Future Self was on the run and all the sudden his fingers started to disappear and his limbs started to break off. I was like Damn, they doing he so dirty.

I agree with the 3 loop theory, that makes the most sense. I read this thread in order and was confused as fukk when someone suggested that the stripper and the chick on the farm were the same person ... the hell gave you that idea? lol

Two things... I think it would have been cool had they shown The Rainmaker in the future and what kind of destruction dude was doing... and considering dude was sent back from the future, I wish it would have been revealed that one of the characters we saw (most likely the dude that ran up in JGL's crib to find Seth) was actually Jeff Daniels' character in the present; would have made it that much more

Same here. I really wanted to see the Rainmaker man.

Also for the longest, I thought Kid Blue (the dude always fukkin up), I thought that was Jeff Daniel's younger self & that was the reason he never killed him when he obviously deserved it. Then I was really when he survived the club shooting after the director made it seem like he was dead. Not your time yet playboi Obviously my theory was proved wrong when JGL killed him.

ANOTHER proof that it was 3 loops was the note. the 1st time, old joe left the note after knocking his younger self out that said, run and go hop on a train. the 3RD time he didn't LEAVE a note at all and just simply knocked him out and went to exactly where he knew he was gonna be at.

I agree, I am very happy we DID NOT see The Rainmaker's future. Maybe they could of put it in at the end when Young Joe saw Rainmaker's future but if we saw him in the future being this killer crime boss, we would not have cared for the child like we did in the film.

I have a theory about that

Because of time travel there are many different possible timelines. Now the first timeline is created when the looper kills there future self (That is why all there victims have hoods and your last victim yourself has gold). Now that the Looper has killed there future self they live there life and realize that hay in 30 years some one is coming for me. I believe some fight back but they keep coming for you in the future. Now we see in the movie that when a looper is sent back some try to manipulate there past self or know what there past self is going to do. I think in order to truly close the loop there past self has to die just like in the movie.

Now that i think about it more than likely the 30 year thing isnt exact. Its more likely the case that 30 years from the present is the absolute first day they could possibly send you back. They could come find you at any point after that and send you back to that past date.
