This is why a lot of Black women are labeled as loud and defiant. As a dark skinned kid, growing up, I often got teased for my hair texture, skin color, lip size, etc. but.....I was always taught to fight back with slicker words and better grades... And that's what I did...
But in the meantime, I became the smart chick with the smart mouth bc if you came at me, I was definitely coming back harder. (Still to this day actually)

Nothing convenient about it the mothers aren't able to raise men. But when a lot of the men in your community are in cages having sex with each other you do the best you can.
All dark skin people go through the same issue. Dark skin boys don't got it any better the only difference is a dark skin boy can't openly tell people how he feel without being called soft.

Breh in our communities you can get killed for just walking down the street. A black man doesn't have to be speaking up for or defending anyone and still he can be murdered. Some of our communities are like war zones and the average black man is not a soldier so he just minds his business.
