In my own league.
Unfortunately a lot of Black Girls don't have that support system at home either.
Being a father to your daughter is just as important as being a father to your son, brehs.
There was even a study that said that Black Boys have an easier time in school and I've witnessed that study in person myself.
Some people are really acting dumb in here acting like Black Women don't have it terrible, but SOME Black Men in here want to play "oppression olympics." It's not always about you, brehs.

Young, Black boys being teased for the way they look...?!That never happens especially nowadays. The majority of young, Black men (even if they are ugly in the face) have girls of all ethnicities chasing after them based solely on their bodies, swag and confidence. Some of these high school boys bodies are something else and most don't even work out. Its just in the AA genes. Anyways, what Im trying to say is young Black men have it easier then young Black women.
Teased by who? Other Black girls? Canada is not some foreign country. I see Dark skin men everyday when Im out and they are all doing good for themselves. I always see them with nothing but dimes.

Dark skin as a currency of beauty is valued more in men than in women in our white society. This is because in Western culture, white and black are arbitrarily associated with femininity and masculinity. So a dark male doesn't attract the same beauty stigma as a blk female---hence why some c00ns can feel like it's okay to insult a woman the same complexion and hair as him.
Combine that mythos with the idea held by a loud minority in the blk community that anything closer to whiteness is better and you get situations where being dark for a male is dangerous and explicitly sexual or erotic, but for a female its masculine and unattractive.
A lot of this isn't necessarily self-hate but cultural mimicry where children are literally bombarded with images, music, media, and other sources that reinforce these associations of darkness with masculinity, whiteness with feminity. There are other negative layers you can overlay on these associations as well. Darkness with poverty, whiteness with wealth. Darkness with ignorance, whiteness with enlightenment. Darkness with dirt, whiteness with purity.
Now think of the stereotypes you oftentimes hear c00ns use to describe blk women: masculine, ignorant, dirty, poor...

Also, as a teacher, I can tell u this: u can be an amazing parent and have little power over what ur child internalizes because a child's psyche is a web. It takes in information from infinite sources. What sticks is determined by their own unique personality and what they experience. Making sure you instill esteem in a child will only help them, but it won't shelter them from insecurities caused by the multi-layered bullshyt associations a young blk girl or boy will hear.
They will have to go on that journey by themselves, analyze why our bullshyt culture says it's such a horrendous thing for a girl to be blk or a boy to be smart and blk.
Most never take that mental adventure. They just passively accept the toxicity of their environment which in turn affects their own preferences in the future. And the cycle continues...

She had been depressed all last year and nobody in the family really knew why but on the car ride back home today she finally opening up and we talked about it.
She talked about how when she decided to go natural with her hair all her friends literally stopped talking to herShe was in private school and was literally the only black girl and she said all the black boys was on some other level of c00nery, calling black/darkskin women ugly and calling her ugly for having nappy hair
Thankfully for high school we are moving her to a nice high school with a good mix of people and a larger black population but im really worried if the younger generation is dealing with this level of c00nery

PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS SHYT CONFUSED, im just giving a personal example about something i did not believe was honestly happening to this level among the youth. There is a serious colorism and self hate issue that i believe we should talk about but at the same time im not making this thread for people to talk shyt about black men. She might not believe it, but you really need to convince her that middle and high school are such an insignificant part of her life. Some have attached a bunch of different contexts to avoid a very real issue here which is that blks are negatively influenced by arbitrary color associations in the West.
Why do you think a lot of young blk women consider lighter-skinned blk men emasculated? Because light is associated with femininity.
So please address the topic at hand, which is that in our community, dark skin is more acceptable and desirable on a man than it is on a woman.
Never implied that overall it was a privilege.
Sometimes I think ya'll are embarrassed by this shyt so you seek to distract from the issue at hand or deny it even exists.
Meanwhile, I've heard similar complaints from lighter-skinned young blk men that blk girls aren't attracted to them. Same deal.

With first bold this is the general preference regardless of race. Women in general like darker (relative I'm assuming in both complexion cases) men and men like fairer skin women. I only could find one article from awhile ago but have heard this before cause that's what made me look for an article about it. Maybe you can find something more current if,you care to. Why men prefer fair-skinned maidens and women like dark, handsome strangers
As for second bold idgaf light/dark I'm not trying to hear cats dating entitlements. It reminds me of something you said in another thread about cats whining and feeling entitled. Everybody isn't going to like you so find someone who does if your into a certain race, complexion, hair style, etc and stop bytching about those who don't.
