Nah i understand breh but we only did it because she was having trouble with the last school and we were worried about the bad environment affecting her but we moved to a nicer neighborhood and she will be going to public school for high school.


We live in Texas

And that right that is the same problem most blacks face in the world, and even other colored folks. Cuz you took her to a "better school", which is a great thing and something you should do if the opportunity is there, but unfortunately thats some of the things that comes with it.

And then had she gone to a school where there's a majority of her own folks there then there's other problems due to poverty, recklessness which can lead to crime etc.

So its like a lose-lose situation.

You're right the life expectancy for black men is lower because they're more often the victims of violent crime from violent black men. Sad it's hard out here.

This is an interesting topic and I had a series of convos with my bf about this. I remember being your sister's age and the climate hasnt really changed if anything it has gotten worst. The mindset of the so called "c00ns" in her school will morph to preference in adulthood. Lets be honest the young boys ridiculing her are on average are not seen as c00ns and I'm sure you have a least 3 dudes in your circle that have the same sentiment but push it off as preference.

This is typically how a bedwench or a "black feminist" is born. Your sister at 14 is not naive and sees a difference, the fact she mentioned how and why should she support BLM when she feels our men are not as supportive is troubling. Middle school. I hated middle school with a passion. I came from a school in my home state where I had more black friends than whites to a Latino heavy school and it really messed me up to the point where I had no self esteem. A lot of the dudes that were black at my middle school just let other guys go in on me.
