Just got some info from a Sloan Kettering NYC doctor that J&J is the preferred vaccination they use

From a conversation I literally just had, I learned that many people who decide to get vaccination that are healthcare professionals get the Johnson and Johnson shot. This is contrary to the belief that Pfizer and Moderna have the better quality shot. I just had a very long conversation with an acquaintance/friend who informed me that almost all the doctors and nurses who choose to get vaccinated choose the Johnson and Johnson shot. I understand at this point nobody would believe that, but I'm just telling you about what was discussed casually between myself and a friend. It definitely shocked me. I am not vaccinated, but am not against those that choose to or choose not to do it. Mind you, Sloan Kettering is one of the top hospitals in the country. Not only did he let me know that this was the case at his hospital, but the sentiment was shared across many other healthcare professionals he knew across a very wide range. I'm not telling you what to make of it, this is just what I'm reporting back because it was with an actual doctor of a very reputable and successful hospital.

Again, I was surprised at the information so that's why I'm sharing it with everyone else. It doesn't matter me if you are vaxxed or not, or what brand you have because it doesn't make a difference to me at this point in time.

What do you sell? Are you strictly on commission, draw, base salary? Do you like your job?

I just wanted to make a thread where anyone who sells for a living can come in and chop it up about the sales life. It's not always easy, but it can be extremley rewarding when those commission checks come in. Or you may be on the other side where you can't seem to close your prospects or fill your pipeline. I've been on both ends of the spectrum.

I've been selling since 19 and got my start selling gym memberships at Crunch. I left after a year and started working on Wall Street from 2007 to 2011 and then went off to start my own small firm that I currently run today with 2 of my friends.

To this day, my primary way of generating new business is picking up the phone and cold calling. I do send out direct mailers and have outsourcers generating traffic from a website, but nothing beats cold calling. Some people say it's dead but that's a goddamn lie. I suggest if you are selling and want to make money immediately, remove your fear of getting on the phone right away. It takes about 3 days of getting knocked down and getting comfortable with your pitch.

Anyway, I'm not going to get into a bunch of sales tips, I just want to know who else is out there. Share some good stories or maybe what you're working on right now.....changes in your industry....ect.

   I will add this though. My Haitian people speak English with a thick accent. Sometimes, you can't even figure out what they're saying. Of course, most of them speak/write 2-5 languages. How many languages do AAs speak ?
   Our education system is much better than the average AA neggas. I mean, look at some neggas with a HS diploma. These neggas would be stuck in 10th grade in Haiti, trynna guess answers on their tests with their eyes closed and shyt. My people come here on a boat with no money and no shelter. They always find a way to make a living and pay taxes and send their kids to school. They do 2-3 jobs and their kids' job is the book and good grades. Those same people you will not see with a EBT card at the register and getting their kids' favorite ice cream being swatted by the scanner. We work hard so our kids can have what we wish we had when we were kids. Too bad, we can't separate them from the AA stain and they end up learning from those AAs from broken homes and call them friends. Why ? so that our kids can help them with their homework since most of their parents don't have the education of a 4th grader.
   
   I have been living here for 10 years and I have never seen a homeless Haitian. Never. Bum or not. NEVER!!! We work hard and pay our taxes so we can live with the little comfort we can afford. While you AAs screaming racism, Haitians are learni9ng the system and making their way into the system to eat like the Cubans are doing nopw in Miami. Why is it that if I go to Walmart, 90% of the blacks are AAs ? However, if I go to a major university, out of 20 Blacks you see majoring in Math, Engineering, Physics, Medicine, good luck find 3 of them being 100% AAs with no Caribbena/AFrican bloodline.
   
   If AAs, have to do 200% to get half the credit, add that for Haitians, on top of language, culture, and all those other barriers we have to break down. Funny that everybody, from my teachers to my advisors told me to stay away from AAs and focus on my goals.
