There is an amazing article that just came out for the 20 year anniversary. That goes into detail about the making of it, the setbacks, the drama and personal issues. Vic mackey played on a show before this as a fat goofy cop on a comedy sitcom and executives and the cast thought there was no way he could pull of playing mackey. The creator defended him. Great read for any shield fan.

I was doing a rewatch early last year but I stopped after Lem because it was the saddest moment in the series when everything went wrong and fell apart.

I hated Shane all throughout the series and that made his downfall all the more sweet.

Shane was always an idiot. Vic always did his own dirty business, no way he would entrust that to somebody else.

Shane was always trying to prove he was on the same level as Vic while actually proving just the opposite.
