honestly our main problem is Nicks stubbornness to not change his offense or the defensive philosophy. nick is slowing killing this team with his inability to change & adapt.
The defense philosophy is Howie and them. They love this Vic Fangio bullshyt for some reason. I just don’t understand the shyt sucks

If players are where they are supposed to be, that play with Blankenship and Byard that Quentin and Avant they pointed out is something that's been going on especially lately.

It's hard for me to believe this defense is just completely ass cheeks after winning 10 games. It's not like the offense has consistently carried the team all year.
They gotta get back to fundamentals and building cohesion. They will turn it around a bit. Too much talent to be this bad.
Howie gotta bargain shop certain positions he paying Jalen, AJ, the o line, corners and that d line.
He took it too far with the linebackers tho, this year's draft he needs to invest some early picks on lineback and fukk draft philosophy.

The pass defense comparison is also silly, aside from Slay & JB being the only starters playing from last years team - the 21 & 22 pass defense with Wilson got lit up by every good QB they played
clamping up Tua, Stafford and Mahomes with coli brehs like Ricks & Jobe seeing the field is more impressive than any game the secondary had while breh was hereNo continuity or chemistry with all the mixing and matching due to injuries. That's a big part of execution and you can tell it's just a bunch of pieces on the back 7 who have no reps together.
Like you said, you have to bet on young cheap contributors holding down certain spots. Howie bet on Nakobe being that guy at LB and it just never materialized between all the injuries that started in camp and kept resurfacing. He was handed the starting job and greendot this year but he's gonna have to scrap for his spot next summer.
When a line syncs together, they move like one giant unit, a swarm that locks down any and everything. Without it, you got blown coverages and missed tackles all day long.

Eagles fall to 10-3 after 2nd straight loss. This is the first time in Franchise History the Eagles are 10-3.

NOBODY SAID IT WAS EASY: Jalen losses back to back games for the 1st time since 2021. He is now 27-4 over his last 31 Regular Season Starts.
OFFENSIVE OBSTICLES: The Offense had Three Fumbles and only scored 6 points for the lowest in the Season.
DEFENSIVE DOUBT: Once again the Defense gives up too many points but there were some positives.
ROOKIE ALL STAR: Jalen Carter has fumble return for TD during the Game.
THE COACHES: Once again things need to be cleaned up on both sides of the Ball.
THE GAUNTLET: Eagles finish brutal 7 game stretch going 5-2.
AS THE NFC BEAST TURNS: The Boys tie for the Division with Win. The GMen get their 3rd Straight Win. Washington is on a Bye Week and still in 4th Place.
Well that wasn’t pretty. Ok Boys, the same way you held that L in Week 9, we gotta hold this L. This week there’s plenty of blame to go around. But Offense definitely dropped the ball literally. Way to many turnovers and mistakes though they did move the ball. They came at the worst time too considering 2 fumbles came in the redzone. AJ also dropped one while past the 50 yard line. Defense did not play well first half but did much better in the 2nd half. Dak played pretty well outside of the fumble. Dallas Defense did a good job causing turnovers too. The Birds just didn’t play well no excuses. The bad news is they lost two in the row. The Good news is again they built up that two game lead and cushion. The 49ers and Boys are just now tying us with 4 games to go.
The Eagles road gets much easier over the last 4 compared to what they just went through during this Gauntlet. Where as The Boys have their own Gauntlet (Bills, Dolphins, Lions). 49ers also have a few tough matchups (Ravens, Rams). The Eagles still control their Destiny. Win out and they will maintain the Division. The #1 Seed will come down to beating the 49ers record wise. Every season has ups and downs. This was a down part of the Season. Now they need to ramp up for the playoffs. Next up Seattle. They are on a 4 game losing streak. The Birds always have issues with Pete Carroll but this time I think they finally bounce back. But props to the Boys for getting us back. This is far from over as the Playoffs are where this thing will be decided. They need to go back to the drawing board and get back on the winning track next week. They can’t focus on anyone else but themselves. This is a game of who slips up first in the next 4 weeks to finish this out.

Do we have faith in this team to execute? When the run game is humming, the pass game is lacking. When the pass game is humming, the run game is an afterthought. When the pass rush is working, the back 7 is terrible. When the back 7 is serviceable, the pass rush can't get a push. Nothing has been in sync all season. Very concerning.

Injuries on D have taken their toll. They been closing out several games all season. The Gauntlet took it's toll. That was basically a Playoff Stretch of games over 7 straight games in a regular season. No team had a harder stretch of games by winning percentage this season during that run. They came out of it 5-2. I think clearly San Fran and The Boys wanted revenge from losses they already took from us. We came out flat in both games. These last two games don't define the team.
Clearly the Offense has been carrying the team more than people wanted to Admit. Jalen was pulling out games constantly. But the Defense is mostly the Problem. Offense has some things to clean up too. Even with the Defense giving up those points. Offense scores on those 3 Turnover drives and it's a whole different ball game. Desai is getting some heat but he's dealt with a lot of musical chairs on that Secondary. They have 4 games to clean some stuff up. Playoffs are around the corner.

Bradberry is clearly a step of 2 slower this season. What do we expect for a 30+ CB who got a new deal?
The one thing I will say, the def played better with Shaq Leonard in the lineup.
As I've been saying all season, get Nolan Smith more reps...he did get a pressure on Sun night...we need to get him reps now
Would love to see the DL run more stunts...more BG at DT on 3rd downs...more DE playing Joker on obv passing downs
More disguised blitzes when the off doesn't expect it
I like our DL and Safeties...I think Blankenship & Byard are solid...we need the LBs & corners to be much better...hope Shaq Leonard is the answer at LB

yes we won 10 games. but that wasnt because of our defense. the execution issues have been there all year we were just winning. that was because our offense was able to score & make up for how ass our defense was. lets not forget every QB we have played has had their way with our defense. it isnt like this is just a 2 week skid that we are on. maybe our run game is the only thing that can improve. but besides that Miami game. our defense has gotten ate up. there is a reason we are dead last on redzone defense & 3rd down defense. because we have been giving it up all year.
we are playing a style of defense that we just dont have the players to play. if we are going to play the bend but dont break defense. we need speed & physicality from our back 7. that can come up & tackle & limit the yards after. we dont have those players. ive been saying you seen the 9ers or the cowboys they attack the ball carrier. we dont we let them come to us after they have gotten plus yardage after the catch.
