reads like people grasping at straws. Good ol' "let's head cannon this so it makes more sense". Sukuna is defeated and Gege didn't wanna come up with 5 more chapters to close the series up so he's just doing whatever.

Not sure how the final chapter will determine anything. Best case scenario it's gonna another weird lore builder with a happy closure for Yuji/Megumi/Nobara and that ain't gonna move the needle for anyone.
