Bruh Cody got an ESPY for an award that's WWE dedicated, wake me up when ESPN starts acknowledging and nominating folks from other companiesThey never should have gave this dude this award:
shyt became a greenlight for ego. Before this shyt, the promotion felt fresh, the fanbase weren't legit psychopaths, and it was a perfect alternative to the WWE. Since this award was presented, Cody went like lol and got a ESPY, The Bucks are a shell of their former selves, Kenny Omega wondering if this wrestling shyt is even worth the effort, the promotion is NXT on TBS, overbooking out of the ass, more random signings, less focus on storylines, no seperation between goofy shyt and real shyt, Juelzing because the rank system is a abomination to wrestling booking 101.
Dude booked himself into an abandoned library and wonder where are the damn librarians to take care of the book piles.
I'd think WWE would absolutely try to sign Kenny if given the chance. Not only do you hurt AEW greatly, you get a huge surprise/moment for your own product. They don't need Kenny to be an anchor for the company, they could just offer him a 2 year deal for a big run and that's it.
With Vince gone and AEW getting a new TV deal (which will give them more money) I think we will be seeing much shorter runs and signings that are aimed as a boost for the sort term instead of long investments to be the future of a company.
You are right that Kenny might not be interested in whatever WWE sells to him, but from WWE's perspective, he would be a huge asset to have. Specially with La Nariz in charge of talent and creative.
WWE probably pays them to have that awardBruh Cody got an ESPY for an award that's WWE dedicated, wake me up when ESPN starts acknowledging and nominating folks from other companies
Probably going to take a decade before we even know if that NIL push was a good or bad idea. Hell, a lot of them might never even step in an NXT ring. It's also tough to predict where WWE will be that far out given the changes happening now and the talent they have in NXt that could be main roster players that are younger (Bron Breaker, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Grayson Waller though I personally don't see it with him, Solo Sikoa) plus all the NIL talent that could possibly enter their system.
He reminds me of one of them NBA players that puts up numbers simply because he is on the Kings but thinks he's good enough to be the same guy on a title contender.Leaving the business entirely because he was tight about his handful of months working for TK when he has his own promotion and takes bookings all over the world consistently would lead me to believe he's got some other shyt going on in his life
Kenny as King Harley RaceIt’s going to be Kenny Omega, but it should have been Cody Rhodes
Kenny is going to make that jump to WWE and it’s going to be the unforgivable sin for Khan
If he’s implying that this is a work then it seems Alvarez and Meltzer haven’t connected the dots either.Did anyone hear Tony Khan on Dan LeBatard show yesterday?
They asked him about Gresham and he said "Theres some dots that havent been connected their for the fans yet"
whether the NIL thing works or not they still will have signed a bunch of recently graduated college athletes via the WM and Summerslam tryouts and the people from WM are already at the PC so we'll be seeing them within a year or twoProbably going to take a decade before we even know if that NIL push was a good or bad idea. Hell, a lot of them might never even step in an NXT ring.
