Weird how all the dudes piling on Tony Khan for how he books are the same ones who spent all weekend defending a known racist rapist white close friend of trump. I would have never expected it.
Same dudes who never seen a Gresham match nor a ROH show. But because they have such a hard-on for the owner they can’t stop talking.Weird how all the dudes piling on Tony Khan for how he books are the same ones who spent all weekend defending a known racist rapist white close friend of trump. Khan really needs to hire someone for talent relations or had that role off to someone already there like Regal, Mark Henry, Paul Wight, Jim Ross (and he already has experience in that role in WWE if I remember correctly)
Communication with talent a consistent complaint regardless of race.
Paraphrasing but It was under 12 min….it was the shortest match on the main card.@reserved_one I just finished watching the match. Why do yall keep saying it was 10 minutes?

With the way AEW operates, there won’t be much need to create their own characters from the ground up. AEW is rarely going to be the first job for the vast majority of the roster. Now if they eventually make ROH their version of NXT then you might see more having to build from a blank state.Has he done it yet?
Literally 99% of AEW roster came from ROH/WWE
I guess Jade would be the best example?
It was 11:30. The trios title match was 9:30.@reserved_one I just finished watching the match. Why do yall keep saying it was 10 minutes?

Yuta and Garcia even got more time…but again im even tripping over Gresham losing to Claudio. It was the right move but Kahn handled it sloppy.
That was a perfect set up for the alley-oop. You guys are outchea messing up breh's assists.I wanna see if Tony is capable of creating his own characters from the ground up. Like there was Mark Calloway, and then Vince wanted Taker. Heyman could do it.
Gresham is Gresham, could Tony make him something larger than life?
But really the original character work we’re likely to see is when someone’s gimmick needs to change. Haven’t seen much of it though because the gimmicks generally work because they were fleshed out in the indies, NXT, or New Japan. With the way AEW operates, there won’t be much need to create their own characters from the ground up. Like you said, Jade is the best example followed by Wardlow, Britt Baker, Serena Deeb, Miro, and Gunn Club. I even think the Chairman gimmick for Shawn Spears has been good.
Guys like Dante and Darius Martin, Daniel Garcia, Hook, Lee Moriarity, Satnam Singh, Wheeler Yuta, Anna Jay, Julia Hart, Kris Statlander post dropping the alien gimmick, Paige VanZant, and Red Velvet are the best eventual case studies for a variety reasons. First wrestling job, little experience before AEW, what would appear to be little character work prior to AEW, new character work after coming to AEW, etc.
