Denver
Joker saving 15 points on defense, fifth in the league ? :leostare: I will need to see the metrics here I dont believe this lol
Jokic has always graded out great in advanced defense metrics. He’s usually all by himself in that top right corner of these TPA graphs.

Wether it’s warranted or not if obviously subjective, but he’s great at a lot of things that contribute to defense but aren’t as loud as like not being able to switch onto perimeter players or block shots.

Mike Malone job on the line these playoffs you can just see he chain smokes cigs after every Denver loss. Interesting to see what game plan he uses for guarding Booker.

:dahell:Ayton with a quarter of looneys effort and this is a 2-1 suns lead.
Ayton wasn't the reason they lost in game 2. If Monty had played his bench in game 2 they could have been up 2-1. They also probably should have gone more to Ayton with CP3 injured and KD having a bad shooting night. Ayton had 10 points on 5-8 shooting and he only got 2 shots in the second half. Game 1 was on the whole team and game 2 was on Monty's reluctant to play his bench and KDs bad shooting night.

Going into next year, do the Suns have any realistic options at starting point guard besides Chris Paul?

Are Fred Van Vleet, Tyus Jones, or even Kyrie available? What do they do about the Ayton situation? Who is available at Center?

Not counting this season out but it's clear the team needs improvement.
Tyus Jones is on an expiring so they're probably looking to move him for assets. He needs to moved tho, he's ass when he has to share the ball with Ja

Man do you even watch the games!? If it's not a clear lane, point blank lay up;there's no such thing as "Going to Ayton".He's scared to touch the ball in high pressure, crunch time moments. That's all based on stat sheet theories & magical thinking. It's not real.We haven't seen it when it matters most. The guy just don't have it in him. He's a bytch.Straight up.

5yrs in the league and he still hasn't developed a face up dribble to create contact & draw FT's.He's terrible out of the ISO.You can only hope he's hitting that weak azz 15 footer.Which he tends to knock down in the 1st half when the pressure's not reaching peak intensity.Come crunch time, he's not hitting shyt.

People want to say CP3 and Booker are ball hogs, but they know they can't depend on Ayton to score when he gets the ball.

At some point, Ayton has to take responsibility for his own development.

His defense used to be good, but now its bad.

Suns should just trade him and get some role players back for him.

Seems like this read before his draft still holds up? :jbhmm:

Ayton still has these weaknesses after 5 years in the league.

At this point, I don't know if the Suns will get much back in an Ayton trade.

You obviously haven't watched any Suns games. This whole "he's scared to touch the ball in high pressure, crunch time moments" is all stuff you made up in your head. Ayton's big blowup with Monty was caused because he wanted more touches. Ayton doesn't shy away from big moments. There were plenty of times this season Ayton has had his guy pinned or he would get free on a roll and the ball never gets to him. Also the narrative that we haven't seen it when it mattered most is also false. Ayton was big for the Suns during their finals runs in 2021 and Ayton was huge for the team against the Pelicans when Booker got hurt last year.

He was better in game 2. Not good but better. Not playing tj and Ross is neck and neck with aytons lack of effort to me. He was a noticeable negative in game 3 with very little defense on him. I’ve been killing him all thread so I’ll just hope he steps up tonight.
