That was all due to Zack Snyder. Making those horrible non fun,non kid friendly films. SuperMan Returns I just recall people comparing it to Christopher Reeves movies . Sorta like people did with Amazing Spiderman comparing it to the Raimi films. Not only do people expect these movies to be fun because of Gunn. They will be compared to those mid Zack Snyder movies rather than classics. This is a different time,MCU is dying and have nothing to distract us with. Superman has the worlds undivided attention. He is basically comic book movies last hope for the forseeable future.
i dont think anybody will ever out do puzo's superman and id be happy af if they would stop trying

Great Movie

probably wont that that long...give it a year or 2

Can we change it to two months:mjlol:

Between trolling Joker fans with the original shytty movie.scamming people out of their money with a catfishing. Then scamming the studio, and shytting on the fans who defended that first pile of garbage of a film. He is right though:mjlol:

Doesnt deserve credit for that,he deserves to be exiled from Hollywood.

I loved Snyder's DC films. BvS and JL full Snyder cuts are flames. I'm not gonna be one of these snyderbot incels about it, but I salute his work.

The only problem with his films, is some people hate the idea of the characters taking themselves seriously. They think comic books should have as much in common with archie comics as they do with anything else.
Its a casual take because most dc and marvel comics are kinda dark, The media and comics code authority had to literally force them to do kid friendly subjects and stories back in the day.

I mean, we all knew this was gonna be a musical, so we shouldn’t be surprised with what we got. At the same time, did we really think this would be great? A musical and Joker don’t go together. A superhero musical movie just sounds nonsensical in the first place. :heh:

I think fans were willing to give it a shot and it just didn’t work out. Shoulda just made this into a play for broadway and it probably wouldn’t have been ill received. :skip:

Edit: holy shyt at that ending. Talk about not giving a fukk about your audience. Idiots always wanna do something different when it’s not necessary.

It's easily the best comic book movie ever because it rejects the genre and tells the audience to grow up. This movie may end up becoming a landmark film kind of like The Godfather. :salute:

You’re joking, right? :mjlol:

I don’t think it’s as bad as people say it is, but it’s weaker than the first one. The ending was a slap in the face for the fans. I’m not a Joker or Harley fan, but I understand the hate.

Well I'm not saying the movie is an all-time great story or movie or anything like The Godfather or whatever but the "slap in the face" is actually a good innovation. It's rejecting the idea that mainstream studios and directors need to give the people what they want and expect. That breaking of the social contract with the audience is exactly what is needed to break the stranglehold of the cookie cutter style movie production that has plagued the movie industry the last two decades and to return to the idea of movies being art.

The fact that many people are so mad only proves the movie's point. It adds to its power.

And looked what happened because dumbass Todd wanted to be different. A fukkin bomb. You don’t fukk with popular IP like that when it comes to mainstream movies. You save that shyt for comic books and the animated films; not in the box office where you’re trying to make money and hits. Common sense.

It wasn't no damn slap in the face because it wasn't any different to the first movie :mjlol:

So what are you babbling about? :mjlol:

The first movie simply got a pass because it was the first ever "Joker movie" of it's kind and everyone wanted to see how it would play out.

Now it's Joker movie 2 and the allure is gone so the flaws and trash concept (it being a fake Joker movie but using the Joker name) are no longer overlooked.
