watched again last night and i still think both movies are brilliant. it clicked that arthur might the sole reason gotham ended up needing a batman. based on that murray franklin stunt, shyt set the whole fukking city crazy. since arthur isnt the joker they said, its looking more like a gotham city origin story. which is cool and all but hopefully this is it. i dont see what else they could do with this without turning it into one of those goofy unrealistic ass comic movies they been dropping. the ending almost took it there

The first movie simply got a pass because it was the first ever "Joker movie" of it's kind and everyone wanted to see how it would play out.


Now it's Joker movie 2 and the allure is gone so the flaws and trash concept (it being a fake Joker movie but using the Joker name) are no longer overlooked.

The musical was also over done, and the transition was shyt for some. They coulda did a better job to transition into it. Like the Sonny and Cher take. They shoulda had Joker looking at a tv talk show and it slowly drifts into the musical scene.

It will never reach that level, but I can see some people giving it a little props (“it’s not as bad as originally thought”) in the future.

I feel like the ending killed it for everyone. If they just let him be, I think it goes from “this is absolute dogshyt!” To just “this sequel didn’t need to happen. It’s just okay.”

Also, no one giving a fukk about the Harvey Dent character is too. There’s literally a cameo and the movie is just so hated on that no one cares.

It's easily the best comic book movie ever because it rejects the genre and tells the audience to grow up. This movie may end up becoming a landmark film kind of like The Godfather.

Gaga and Pheonix have no chemistry. Brings the movie down completely.

They should of just done the Bonnie and Clyde in Gotham thing alot of people were expecting.

What this just ended up being was an origin for the craziness of Gotham.
