It’s not really a musical thoughThe trailer didn't look compelling to me, whereas in the first, I was interested immediately. It being a musical didn't help. This is another case of Hollywood trying to get juice from a lemon that was squeezed dry three weeks prior. Everything doesn't need a sequel, and now they've likely killed this entire iteration of the character. Seems like it's impossible for them to let successful films and characters go out on top. They always seem determined to end it all with a whimper.
This guy wrote 'like the fact this movie went into detail about the abuse and tragic events that made Arthur become the joker. This movie was a great setup for a 3rd action packed joker movie now that Arthur is dead..I would hope that’s the direction the director is going in..lady Gaga put on an great performance and I can see why some ppl didnt like a lot of the music parts but it fit the joker personality great and its what that sick prison ward was forcing the inmates to do..this movie was an excellent breakdown of why Arthur became joker and why joker is so cold and sick in the head..its a shame the critics knocked this movie so hard.. a lot of ppl hated the ending but I see Arthur dying and joker being born..Hopfully he’s taking to a hospital to recover, become joker and seek revenge on GothamCode:spoiler alert
spoiler alert
Naw this aint The Joker.
This is a delusional loser who COSPLAYS as The Joker.
The first movie got away with it because nobody knew what to expect and there hadn't been any sort of Joker movie before it. We just wanted to see what would happen and how it would play out.
Then when you watch the movie you see it's a bait and switch outside of a 20 minute portion at the end.
Now they're using the Joker IP as a vehicle for Lady Gaga to sing in a movie for 2 hours in the sequel
CarelessnessHas Gotham always been in the state of new york? I never paid attention to that but I noticed in the move someone said the state of New York vs Arthur Fleck
probably wont be that long...give it a year or 2Watch this become a cult classic in two decades
