It was a good one off, but it made so much money that they threw the bank at them to do a sequel.

I actually wasn’t high on the first film. Phoenix was great, but the story was average. I liked the tone of it too. I’m gonna give this one a shot since I haven’t been to the theater in months.

I really did and the singing wasn’t too much. It made perfect sense and fit every time to me. When it was over me and shorty looked at each other like yo we enjoyed it

I didn't like the movie, but even with the same kind of plot I think the musical idea could've worked better for me if it was more original, in the sense maybe darker, or "moodier". Some songs I felt that I could've heard them in other movies, like they sounded kind of random. Not sure if that makes sense.
