Ive been patiently waiting to see watch this sequel flop and unravel in real time
Its somewhat of a vindication for everything we said about the first one that people denied. We said it was fake deep,said that he didnt act anything like the Joker. We were told we were just too dumb to get it and should stick to mindless superhero films. We were told just because he doesnt act like the Joker,doesnt mean he isnt the best Joker. Must be too ignorant to recognize Joaquins acting clinic.

The irony is that the pieces work as separate parts. Joaquin, Gaga, the guards, the courtroom all acted their asses off, and tried to bring life, drama and tension to the screen. No one will deny thaThe cinematography was stellar, the lifeless, melancholy tone was good. The music as a soundtrack or background was good.

They just didn't fit together. Most of the musical scenes stuck out, because they weren't incorporated as they would be in a musical. And not even unconventional musicals like American Graffiti, Guardians or Blues Brothers. Their pairing wasn't shown enough, except for singing scenes. And Arthur is just there, trudging through...which doesn't fit with where we ended off with him in the previous film. Trial of the Joker could've been a 30min episode extra on a DVD...or webisodes

The 1st one is a top 5 comic book movie of all time I own it in blu-Ray. But I planned on seeing this on my off day next week looks like that’s $20 bucks saved 
Pretty much. Some fit, most don't. I think about 8-10 mins is the longest we go without one

I'm guessing the lower expectations made this tolerable for me.
I always figured the songs were him just daydreaming and that was true for the most part.
Joaquin and Gaga didn't mail it in.
I saw reviews saying Gaga wasn't in it enough but she was in it enough for me.
I agree with Korey and Martin from Double Toasted about liking the ending. To me it was the most logical finish giving where we are in this timeline.

thats what my boy was saying they didn't expect people to like arthur in the first one and root for him so they had to make this gay ass shyt to get back at these people lmao. that's the only thing that makes sense no way they really thought this would be good.
