One thing i really dont like is, this show is supposed to be set in the early 1980s.

But other than pay phones and landlines, nothing much about this show screams early 80s

I mean, I'm all for uplifting black shows. It's just that most of them nowadays suck. They're all Tyler Perry-esque rejects with bad stories and corniness.

The Fresh Princes and Family Matters and Cosbys or My Wife and Kids up to the Carmichael Show are all rare hits.
