He's already on the wrong side of 30 and never really gave a damn about his diet or physical fitness. If he got the knee surgery, rehabbed AND dropped 40ish pounds, I'd believe they can squeeze at least a couple of years of high level play out of him but Embiid never seemed like the sort to dedicate himself to all of that

eh, aside from the usual African "age tax," he's been a big dude who's had a lot of joint damage over the years, so he is physically a lot older than his natural age. It's not like buddy just runs down to the block and posts up. He's cooked, but that contract is insured, so he'll get waived or cut within a couple of years. I doubt he plays that full thing out
