He's already on the wrong side of 30 and never really gave a damn about his diet or physical fitness. If he got the knee surgery, rehabbed AND dropped 40ish pounds, I'd believe they can squeeze at least a couple of years of high level play out of him but Embiid never seemed like the sort to dedicate himself to all of that

I really do feel for him pause. But a lot of the blame comes from himself, I feel like he didn’t take his career serious enough until it was too late. I agree with him on the impact he can still have for the Sixers, he’s still a double team threat, it helps Maxey and KO and all those guys get easier looks. Hopefully he can shake off the rust & play himself back into shape & finish off the season strong.

I can’t wait for him to get the surgery in the offseason and then hopefully being ready at the Christmas break.

What are these guys waiting for?

Fukk hoelll embiid , sixers we’re never winning a championship led by this goofy bytch nikka :pacspit:
You're not if we being honest. His time was when he was a top 3 player in the league for years. Now it's a lot more competitive and these young dudes catching up. Shai, Antman, Cade, Luka, Wemby and let's not forget players currently in their prime Jokic, Giannis, Tatum, etc.
:wow:

Plus most west contenders have a comparable big.
[Mem= jackson& edey, Denver = jokic, etc.]
As well as the depth on the bench and center positions.
of the fully rejuvenated east.
in just Boston and cle for starters.
As well as Milwaukee still having although Injured Giannis.
Back up in starting front court depth. With a healthy Frankenstein twin brother in Lopez.

So the wear and tear potentially of winning a title. Or a deep run, has way more obstacles at his actual position. Incomparison to the years past.

Why are Shai and Luka in the “young player” category while Tatum is considered in his prime? Tatum is only a couple months other than Shai. Also, Luka and Shai regardless of their age (26) are in their 7th season.

they need to shut him down and decide what they want to do with the knee so he can have so he can have as much time to recover as possible for next season. that and they keep their 2025 1st rounder if it ends up in the top 6, otherwise it goes to the thunder.
