1) During the pandemic, well-off folks(regardless of race) were complaining about what poorer folks were getting from government and what they weren't....so imagine the same well off folks' reaction to who lives in their neighborhood and have access to their resources
Suburban Lifestyle Dreams controversy displays how dangerously covert classism is and how allegations of "racism" deflects attention from it...thus classism thrives because between both isms, one is more triggering and allows rich/well to do/getting by/middle class folks to poverty pimp at their discretion
2) Alleging "racism" for not attending a funeral is counter productive and continues to waterdown the word's effectiveness. Switch topics, pretending to be cool with/respected/liked by a person you have beef with after they die is usually dismissed as being fake/liar/opportunist
