Joe Biden: “Unlike the African-American community, the Latino community is incredibly diverse”
There is a huge gap between "incredibly" and "not at all".
Examples.
The AA community is reasonably diverse.
The AA community is not particularly diverse.
The AA community is a bit diverse.
The AA community is not very diverse.
The AA community is not spectacularly diverse.
and most of all the direct implications,
The AA community is "NOT incredibly" diverse but is diverse nonetheless.
or
The AA community is "NOT incredibly" diverse but is diverse nonetheless due to the suppression of their original cultures by a white supremacist society when the bulk of AA's arrived. A white supremacist culture which robbed them of their languages, religions, customs, calendar, celebrations etc.
Why ignore the direct implication and jump straight to an interpretation of "monolith"?
