I hear what y’all saying but everything she’s weak in, like not having domestic experience, Biden makes up for that. After 4 years in office none of that will matter and she’d be prime to run in 2024. No, she definitely isn’t as left as we would want her to be but neither is Kamala. I don’t see what Kamala has that she doesn’t, except that Kamala is polarizing to a lot of people. I don’t think that Benghazi shyt will make any difference what so ever.
Kamala is only "polarizing" to the Bernie/AOC wing of the party.

Also, Susan Rice would have NO CHANCE of winning the 2024 primary. If she did somehow win, then Republicans would have a field day :mjlol:.

Uncertain grounds
He's 77 years old...any VP he picks is going to overshadow him to a degree. Kamala and Warren were definitely the ones who would do it the most but...who cares. I don't think Biden is that vain. He has to know he is likely picking the 2024 presidential candidate. And how can you select someone who has never won an election in her life (Rice) in that situation? Kamala has won state-wide, twice. That should be a major qualifier, and out of all the women on the list...the only ones that qualify are Harris, Warren, and Whitmer.

I hear you but

Many here seem to think there will be a 2024 contested dem primary regardless

I personally dont see a competitive primary happening

I think there has to be a debate within the party right now if there is or isn't going to be one. If there is going to be one regardless..then it doesnt matter as much that rice didnt win a statewide election. She would have the chance to demonstrate she can run a successful campaign to get the nomination.

If the bigwigs are saying no, we should usher in the VP choice as our nominee in 2024..then its more important for biden to pick someone who has proven they are able to win..otherwise Rice's first election will be a general election for president in a very tumultuous time period

Kamala has been a US Senator for 3 years 8 months, plus she was a State Attorney General or like 6 years. She has both legislative experience and statewide executive experience. She won statewide twice.

A post I made from Biden's June 30th speech where he answered questions:
Biden answered a question today on his VP choice. He said he is looking for someone that doesn't have the same skillset he has and can add something to make them more well rounded. He said the reason Obama choose him as VP was because he had foreign policy experience and relationships in Congress to get things passed. Both were things Obama didn't have. Biden said this time he could pick someone without foreign policy experience because he has that skillset. So based on that theory Susan Rice would be eliminated quickly and Elizabeth Warren would be the best to balance that.

Again, what does this matter when Biden himself has 123412341234 years of senate experience, VP experience, etc. After four years Susas Rice will have four years of VP experience and none of what you said above will matter and she will be and even better candidate for president than Kamala. I'm not seeing the argument for Kamala over Rice.

:comeon: assuming we're giving them both the vp experience bump, kamala is much better for 2024

But in my opinion, right now Rice is the better pick because she's not as polarizing as Kamala.

:yeshrug:
Susan Rice is hated by progressives more than even Kamala. The right also hates Susan Rice more than Kamala.

Susan Rice is the literal embodiment of a "DC insider" & "political elite".

I'm a progressive and I don't hate Susan Rice.

:yeshrug:

Again how is Kamala any different. She's just as much a DC insider and political elite. She's also not really that impressive. Plus she has the prosecutor thing working to her disadvantage.

if you really dont see benghazi coming from a mile away then :yeshrug:

The only people that the Benghazi thing will matter for, are not going to vote for Biden anyway.

id rather convince progressives on kamala than convince america on rice

what do you even like about rice :mjlol: no one knows who she is. kamala is a senator of the biggest state in america, who was just running for president

Is Biden doing the smart thing and bringing in a lot of his primary rivals to his admin? :patrice:

This would insure a peaceful transition when his VP runs in 2024:jbhmm:
